Medical students at the Universidad de Navarra receive a solid theoretical and conceptual teaching methodology that is combined with extensive training through medical clerkships. The Medical School’s affiliated clinical rotations provide students a diversified opportunity to practice and learn in local and national health care centers, as well as in general and specialized hospitals, and primary care units.
The Clínica Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona is approximately 75,000 m2 and is comprised of 400 beds, 15 operating rooms, ICUs for both adults and pediatrics, 10 specialization areas, and 50 different medical departments. All analytical, radio diagnostic, medical, or surgical treatment tests are performed in the hospital. The Clínica Universidad de Navarra was the first hospital in Spain to be accredited by Joint Commission International and is a reference private clinic in the north of Spain for transplants. In 2017, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra opened a new state-of-the-art hospital in Madrid.
The CHN includes a thousand beds and a total workforce close to 6,000 professionals, grouped into 43 clinical services. It registers an annual volume of more than 40,000 admissions, 33,000 surgical procedures, and more than 750,000 consultations.
