Reformas jurídicas estatales para la gestión de los fondos NGEU: análisis y reflexión desde el Derecho Administrativo

In the EU, the economic crisis generated by the pandemic has required the launch of an extraordinary financial effort: the NextGenerationEU funds. The challenge of absorbing these funds and the need to manage them in a short period has required the Spanish government to adapt some of its political structures, as well as some of the administrative procedures that involve spending (contracts, grants, etc.). It has done so mainly through Royal Decree-Law 36/2020, of 30 December, which approves urgent measures for the modernisation of the Public Administration and for the implementation of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This article analyses critically and in context some of the novelties introduced by this regulation.
