The Doctoral Program in Government and Culture of Organizations is part of the doctoral offer developed by the Doctoral School of the University of Navarra, within the legal framework established by the RD 99/2011, on doctoral studies in Spain. The Doctoral School is the organ in charge of the planning, coordination and monitoring of the doctoral programs at the University of Navarra. The Institute of Enterprise and Humanism is responsible for the development and organization of the Doctoral Program in Government and Culture of Organizations.

This Doctoral program is adapted to the European Higher Education Area and meets the requirements set out in the Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, establishing the structure of official university studies. The program was evaluated by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), and verified by the Council of Universities. It has official status and is registered in the Registry of Universities, Centers and Qualifications.

The Doctoral program in Government and Culture of Organizations has been adapted to the verification procedures provided for by the RD 99/2011, of 28 January, which regulates the official doctoral studies, and it has obtained a favorable report by the ANECA and has been verified positively by the Spanish University Council.

  • Background

After almost twenty years of research, the Institute for Business and Humanism created the School of Governance in the 2003-2004 academic year. This school teaches the graduate program in Organizational Governance and Culture, which is currently made up of an official master's program and a doctoral degree.

The curriculum and method of accessing the program changed in the 2006-2007 academic year. The preliminary period of study and the period of research were discontinued, so that students now proceed directly to preparation of their doctoral theses. Applicants must now be in possession of an official master's degree in order to be admitted to the program.

The University also offers a master's degree linked to this doctoral program, the Master's Degree in Organizational Governance and Culture, an official master's degree in accordance with RD 1393/2007. The degree has received a positive evaluation from ANECA's VERIFICA program. This master's degree constitutes the training period for those students who wish to register for this doctoral program.
