- » Transferring Your Degree or Prior Studies
The degrees offered by the University of Navarra are designed to be transferrable to other countries; in addition, the University recognized most standard foreign degrees for purposes of determining what level of study you are prepared to undertake.
Transferring prior studies to the Spanish system
In order to study at the University of Navarra, you must be able to demonstrate having obtained the required level of previous studies for the degree program you have chosen. If you wish to obtain an official Spanish government degree, such as the Licentiate or Doctorate, you will need to obtain prior recognition of your studies from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. This process is called "homologación" or "convalidación". Visit their website for more information on how to obtain homologación.
If you wish to study for a "título universitario" (i.e. a degree accredited by the University of Navarra, and not by the Spanish government), it is normally sufficient to provide the Registrar's Office with a copy of your official diploma for the prior studies you have taken.
Transferring your University of Navarra degree to your home country
Once you have completed studies at the University of Navarra, upon returning to your home country, you will need to transfer your degree. In most countries, this task is performed by a government agency, such as the Ministry of Education. In the case of the United States and other English-speaking countries, it is frequently the case that you will have to work with a non-governmental agency to obtain transferral of your degree (or of credits you have obtained through exchange study).

The International Association of Universities (a UNESCO organization) maintains a database of information about the higher education systems of all its member countries. If you do not find your country listed in the table below, visit this database and consult the information for your country.
