Universitarios por la Ayuda Social (UAS) Take the opportunity and give part of your spare time to those who really need it. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience.

Universitarios por la Ayuda Social (UAS) Universitarios por la Ayuda Social (UAS) is a voluntary association which began its labour in the 90/91 academic course. It was the response of some students who were very concerned about the problems some people suffer in our own society.

Its main objective is the promotion of voluntary work among university students, as a real contribution to build a better society.

This association works in several areas:

  • Personal attention to students of Primary and Secondary School.
  • Attention and personal care for disabled people.
  • Work with the prison population.
  • Voluntary work during campaigns focused on raising public awareness.
  • Attention and personal care for elderly people.
  • Attention and personal care for sick children.

Cultural Activities

Cultural Activities Service
University life isn’t limited just to academics... the University offers numerous ways to get involved in culture: concerts , plays, the University choir and orchestra, groups for reading and for creative writing, and art exhibitions. The Cultural Activities Service is dedicated to making the world of culture available to students, professors and employees, in order to ensure that the University is culturally at the head of its class.

“Vida Universitaria” Weekly
Vida Universitaria is a publication of the Cultural Activities Service which you can find at the entrances of all University buildings, and which provides up-to-date information about cultural activities, social service opportunities and sports activities, as well as other events relevant to the University community.

Workshops
Oil painting, from introductory classes to workshops with the artists Antonio López, Juan José Aquerreta and José María Mezquita, creative writing, poetry, musical production, theater production techniques and photography. The goal of the University in cultural matters is to provide all those who study or work on our campus with channels for expressing their cultural aspirations , and to contribute to their integral education by providing them with knowledge and methods.

Contests
Comic strips, pop and rock music, singer-songwriters, tapas, short stories and poetry, both in Spanish and Basque. Each student is offered the opportunity to demonstrate his or her skills, because at the University of Navarra we seek to catalyze student initiative and creativity, and to foster in daily life a cultural environment in which the protagonists are the students themselves.

Sports and Recreations

The Sports Office Our Sports Office meets the recreational, instructional, and intramural needs of our students while promoting and enhancing a healthy lifestyle for our university community.

In the southern part of the campus is located the sports complex,Polideportivo, which houses basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor soccer courts, racquetball courts, and additional areas which are utilized for a variety of activities ranging from aerobics to Taekwondo.Polideportivo, which houses basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor soccer courts, racquetball courts, and additional areas which are utilized for a variety of activities ranging from aerobics to Taekwondo. The complex also includes outdoor soccer fields, rugby fields, a baseball diamond, and tennis courts.

University Chaplaincy

The University Chaplaincy offers its services to the University population, in permanent and open dialogue with all those who participate in its activities and providing meeting forums to everybody, whatever their beliefs are.
