TeleNatura International
TV Festival
TeleNatura, the International
Television Festival to promote conservation and raise awareness
about nature and the environment, was launched by the Journalism
Projects department in the School of Communication in 2002.
The aims of TeleNatura are to raise audience awareness
and interest in programs about the environment, and to
use television as a source of information and scientific
knowledge and as a tool for environmental education. A
further goal of the festival is to spark interest in these
types of productions among television producers, present
and future.
A number of the prize-winning submissions to TeleNatura have
also been accepted for consideration in the Descartes Prize
for excellence in science communicationorganized by the European
Commission.
