Lines and Projects

The research done at the University of Navarra School of Medicine covers many different fields. This international-level research activity is driven from various departments and centers. Below are some of the most noteworthy lines of research being carried out by the School's core departments:

 

Similarly, research conducted in the clinical departments is carried out within the framework of the university hospital of the School of Medicine: the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

 

In turn, the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA) plays a decisive role in the biomedical research done at the University of Navarra. CIMA focuses its work on four priority research areas, led by the School's faculty members:

The School of Medicine also drives the Institute of Tropical Health, center that seeks to bring basic research to clinical application in collaboration with hospitals and research centers of based on developing countries. Its goal is to find solutions for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control against common diseases in these areas.

At the Culture and Society Institute, a multidisciplinary research center focusing on the search for scientific answers and innovative proposals to help solve the main challenges of today's society, there are two prominent projects led by faculty at the School:
