What will this degree give me?

The skills of a professional journalist, and good working knowledge of the tools which are used on the major newspapers, television and radio stations. Mastery of multimedia and design programs and languages. An understanding of the media as business, combined with creative skills. This training will equip you to handle the tasks of selecting and writing the news with professionalism and rigor.

Student profile

You have good spoken and written skills. You can work in a team. You know how to analyze and synthesize. You like current affairs and are interested in the international situation, in politics and economics.

Certificate Programs

These Certificate Programs enable students of the University of Navarra to accredit their special knowledge of one of nine areas which are in great professional demand: Corporate Communication, Cultural Communication, Integrated Marketing Communication, Political Communication, Social Communication, Media Management, Screenwriting for TV and Film, Visual Journalism and Production of TV and Film Fiction. To obtain these Certificates it is not necessary to enroll for more courses than are strictly necessary to obtain the degree. It is only necessary to take the optional courses indicated for each Certificate Program.

Professional opportunities

Print media: Writing news for newspapers and magazines. Audiovisual media: Writing and producing news for radio and TV. Online media: Writing and design for interactive publications. Visual Journalism: Design, infographics and photojournalism. Institutional communication: Press offices in the media and in the corporate world.

Extra-curricular activities

The School has a long tradition of offering courses such as the Seminar on Business News, sponsored by Expansión, and the Sports Journalism Course. Students also contribute to the magazine Nuestro Tiempo, published by the School, and work in the MMLab digital journalism laboratory.
